Hi, I'm Nicole Thomson - the Jellybeans Music franchisee for the Sydney City East region. I'm pleased to have a wonderful group of schools that enjoy Jellybeans Music around the year. In addition there are a number of schools that enjoy one or two Terms of Jellybeans Music each year.  I enjoy being able to bring a quality music education program to schools that would otherwise not have any music to speak of.  As a franchisee I love having the opportunity to run my own business that involves something I'm passionate about - music! It also allows me to have time to fit in my performing work in the evenings as a singer. The great part is that I feel supported by the Jellybeans Music team behind me to help grow my business.

I recently ran a workshop at the Sydney Cochlear Institute Centre. For some of these students it was the first chance they have had to perform music in a group together. It was an incredibly rewarding session from both participants and tutors! Here are some pics of the day….

My Schools

St. Anthony's Clovelly

St. Anthony’s Clovelly has been an eager participant in the Jellybeans Music program since 2009. During that time we have provided an amazing amount of music to the students and built up the skills in music for all students. Jellybeans Music is the year round outsourced music solution for St. Anthonys. With the sequential, systematic and curriculum based program that is delivered by trained and experienced music educators, we are meeting the school’s Creative Arts requirements. A quote from Principal Kim Whyte:“All is going well with the program. The teachers and students enjoy Nicole’s lessons and I am very happy with her. We would like to have her back at St. Anthony’s if possible as she is a very good and engaging teacher.”

McAuley Primary

McAuley Primary School in Rose Bay only joined Jellybeans Music in 2012. Initially they took on just the one Term with us, but after seeing the results that were being achieved in just one Term, the school decided to take on Jellybeans Music as it’s year round music provider. In 2013 we are going to be there every Term. Ray Harvey is the Jellybeans music specialist at the school and he regularly comments on the wonderful staff and students at the school. Likewise, we receive the same glowing comments from the school about Ray! We look forward to providing ongoing quality music education for all students at McAuley Catholic Primary School.

Crown Street PS

Jellybeans Music has also been at Crown St. Public School for some time. We began there in 2009 with the K - 2 classes for one Term per year. We continued providing our quality music education to the K - 2’s for 3 years. Then in 2012 we also added the Yr. 3 - 6’s into the program. This has continued into 2013 where we now supply a Term each of fun, engaging and skills based music lessons for the K - 2’s and the 3 - 6’s. We look forward to continuing this partnership with Crown Street Public into the future!
