Full Term Programme

Our main offering at Jellybeans Music is our full Term programme. This is delivered in a class-by-class situation over a period of 8-10 weeks.

Music is increasingly understood to be a vital subject for an overall rounded education. International research demonstrates unequivocally the many positive attributes music education has for all students, but particularly Primary age students. The Jellybeans Music programme incorporates key musical elements and skills such as:

  • Singing
  • Solfege and Rhythmic development
  • Movement
  • Performance skills - through percussion; singing and recorders
  • Aural (listening) skills
  • Composing and Improvising

What does it cost?

You'll be surprised at how affordable it is to have high quality music teaching in your school! A Jellybeans Music Term programme course fee is customised for the needs of each specific school. We take into account:

  • Size
  • Location
  • Socio-economic factors
  • Multi-cultural diversity
  • and anything specific to your school!
As a 'ball-park' figure you can estimate around $35-ish per student per Term (although this can be less in many cases). We will work with your executive to find a suitable course fee to enable access to our world leading music programmes.
We've had Jellybeans at our school for a number of years now and the students are really enjoying the programme. L.Minogue - Principal

How does Jellybeans Music run in schools?

The driving passion behind our programme is to provide quality music education to children AND upskill classroom teachers to better implement regular music in their own classes. As such our main offering is a classroom programme that includes the class teacher. This way the class teacher's receive Professional Development in-situ whilst the Jellybeans Music teacher can best implement the music programme.

Some points on how the logistics work....

  • Classes are around 40-50 minutes each
  • All classes come to the same point in the school for lessons (hall, library, spare classroom etc.)
  • We can fit 6-7 classes in on a full school day
  • Students are assessed on curriculum outcomes at the end of the programme and reports provided to the school
  • Age specific programmes: Kindy/Prep; Yr. 1-2; Yr. 3-4 and Yr. 5-6
  • Approximately 15-20 pieces per programme - yep, that's a HEAP of repertoire!
  • Students will be able to perform a minimum of 2 pieces at a solid performance level
